Akilia - Villa de San Lorenzo

One-of-a-kind red wine,100% Mencía from the Fontairo parcel (2.5 HA) on a beautiful soft slope, 75-year-old vines on a west-facing slope with loamy clay soils over slate and the Villarín (1 HA) parcel, 80-year-old vineyards on an east-facing slope with slate and quartz over clay soils. Grapes from each parcel ferment separately in concrete tanks. Fontairo grapes are aged in French barrels for 12 months, and grapes from the Villarín parcel age in the same concrete tanks. 

Dark fruit aromas, decomposed granite, hummus, smoke, and spices. On the palate its green, etheral, elegant and vertical, with a bitter and herbal finish. Notes of cedar wood, juniper and earth.
