Podere Pradarolo - Libens Rosso Asciutto

A 100% Croatina from podere Pradarolo, the estate of Alberto and Claudia Carretti in Emilia Romagna. The Carrettis make wine the old fashioned way, with long macerations and aging periods. Libens is made from the unique Croatina grape grown in the Parma hills on clay-like soil with a low limestone content, and is bottled after a 40 day maceration and spending 18 months in huge oak barrels without filtration or any additives. The wine is ruby red in colour, with elegant aromas of black currants, and is well balanced with evident tannins. Decant and serve at cellar temperature, 14% Alcohol.
