Pep Aguilar and Patri Morillo are the masterminds behind the wonderful Celler Comunica project. They make their wines in an old farmhouse estate, known as Mas d’en Cosme, in the town of Falset, on the border of Priorat and Montsant.
They farm 7HA of old Garnacha and Carignan vines and some Syrah, planted on a soil of decomposed granitic sands with several types of slate. Pep and Patri use no oak at all; they focus on freshness and bright clean fruit over dry extractions and high alcohol. These wines are chuggable and thirst quenching.
